In which drawer do you keep your “someday”? Have you ever wondered how many bold ideas, important conversations, and long-cherished endeavors we hide behind the convenient phrase, “I’ll start on Monday”?

This was exactly the question that the lecturers, students of the Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts of BSPU, and guests sought to answer.
On October 22, as part of Pedagogy Week, Karyna Koval, Assistant at the Department of Pedagogy and Deputy Dean for Scientific Work and International Affairs, invited the attendees to look into that metaphorical “home drawer” where our boldest plans, unfulfilled dreams, and our own lives—pushed aside by the phrase “not the right time”—have been gathering dust for years.
The event became a space for deep and sincere reflection. Participants explored the psychological origins of procrastination, the influence of social expectations, and the fear of failure, which often block our forward movement. The main focus was on the realization that while everyday chores can be postponed without much loss, postponed opportunities deprive us of our future, new experiences, and bright prospects.
Inspiring examples of resilience and life lessons encouraged the audience to reflect on the biggest regret of many people: the lack of courage to be authentic and live according to one’s own values rather than someone else’s scripts.
This meeting served as a reminder of a simple truth: there is no day called “someday” on the calendar, and the best time to open your own drawer of opportunities is today!
Pedagogy Week continues, inspiring confident steps toward change!
