The Quality We Create Every Day: Insights from Ukraine’s Leading Educators

Can a school’s success be measured solely by the dry figures of reports? Of course not. The quality of education is a living organism that requires not so much rigid control as daily, thoughtful work. It was precisely this philosophy that the guest lecture “Technologies and Tools for Ensuring the Internal School System of Education Quality” was dedicated to, held on October 27 at the Department of Pedagogy of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.

The guest lecturer was Oksana Bodnar, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University. The meeting was moderated by Vasyl Kryzhko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor at the Department of Pedagogy of Berdiansk State Pedagogical University.

Oksana Bodnar masterfully broke down complex managerial matters into understandable, real-life components. “Quality is not created by inspection: it is formed by daily processes, and inspection helps to improve them,” — this very thought became the key thesis of the first part of the event.

The audience took a journey through the architecture of educational management. They analyzed in detail the four key assessment areas from the State Service of Quality of Education (SSQE) and delved into the subtle anatomy of terminology, figuring out where a fundamental “technology” ends and a specific “method” or applied “tool” begins.

The second part of the event explored issues of educational administration. Here, the focus shifted to the art of making balanced, data-driven decisions: educational analytics, professional expertise, and internal audit algorithms. Particularly relevant was the discussion on the implementation of digital technologies and the use of the powerful potential of artificial intelligence in building the quality of a modern school.

This lecture became a landmark event for educators who strive to go beyond formal reporting and transform school management into an environment for innovation and continuous development.
